Whether you are a fan of the proposed President Obama health care laws or not, everyone likes free money. The “insurance stimulus” is what some are now calling the possibility that some insurance companies will be forced to pay out about $1.4 billion dollars this summer to policy owners.

This is due to the fact that these health insurance companies did not abide by new rules that were in place starting in 2011 that they spend 80 of money they take in through premiums on medical care. If they spend too little they will be obligated to repay the money by giving a rebate. Obviously, the health insurance industry along with many other agencies are fighting this and doing everything they can to avoid paying out that money.

How much money could this mean for you? According to this article that would be in the ballpark of $160 per person but don’t count on it just yet. Some health care companies DID play by the rules and so will not need to refund anything to their customers. Also, some of the rebate money will, if paid out, go to your employer and not in your pocket.

This is just the latest development that shows how crazy our health care system is. For something as important as health care which impacts every single American, it is such a shame that no one can agree on anything. We have the best doctors in the world right here in this country and it is getting harder and harder to get access to them and to afford them.

On March 26th the Supreme Court will begin listening to arguments on both sides of the Obama health care bill of 2010 and from that we will start to understand the countries direction. There is so much confusion about the Making Health Care Affordable Act that we need the courts to decide, once and for all, what is legal and enforceable.Only then can we start to move forward with a better understanding of what is in store for all of us down the line when we need insurance and a good doctor.

In the meantime though, maybe a few people will be getting an unexpected rebate from those health insurers that everyone loves to hate!

The new 2011 Congress full of newly elected Republicans goes to work for the first time this week. Because the House now has a majority of Republicans, President Obama finds himself in a much different position than he was 2 years ago when Democrats controlled both sides of Congress.

These next two years are going to very interesting to see who is willing to compromise and who isn’t. It is clear the Republicans are against most of the things the Democrats are for including national health care, higher taxes, estate taxes, and many government programs.

One difference is quite clear between the sides: Democrats and President Obama see the government as having a constructive roll in our society while Republicans call that socialism. Obama wants to solve problems by having the government step in while Conservatives most always want them to keep out. This will surely mean no new stimulus grants or other programs to fuel the economy.

The election of 2008 saw new hope with a new President who has very different views from the president for the last 8 years. But now in 2010, much of the country voted back the other way as though they didn’t like what they saw. This means it will not be easy for President Obama to get through many of the government programs to help the less fortunate that he sees as important.

2011 and 2012 will be very different because the Republicans will be setting more of the agenda and they say they are going to start out right away by holding a vote to repeal Obama health care. Even though a repeal has no chance of getting through the Senate, they are still going to go through with the formality of the vote. They are going to do this so that it is clear that they tried and so that the American public can clearly see that it is President Obama and the Democrats who are responsible for the new health care law.

This is just one of the many battles we are sure to see in the coming years that will be full of name calling and antagonism. Because the Republicans and Democrats agree on very little, it means very little will get done in the next two years and that is just fine with Conservatives because they want to stop the direction Obama is moving the country.

Next up on the agenda for President Obama in his government takeover of the country is health care reform called ObamaCare by some. Apparently he thinks there is nothing that the government shouldn’t be in control of. First it was the banks bailout, then the auto bailouts, the stimulus bill, and now healthcare.

Unfortunately, many people voted for Obama because they thought they were going to get more Obama government grants, Obama free money, and free Obama healthcare. Yes, there are actually a lot of people who want and think they deserve free healthcare. They want the government to take it over because they think it will then be free.

Obama says that he doesn’t want socialized healthcare like in England and that anybody that likes their plan will be able to stay on it. But everybody should know by now that all Democrats want power and they want to control every aspect of our life. They want us to have to rely on them for everything and they will say anything to make that happen. Yes, that means they will lie and they do every day. Unfortunately, Republicans lie everyday too.

People voted for Obama because they thought he was going to end the war. IS THAT HAPPENING? No it is not and we are now getting set to send more troops into Afghanistan. That is hardly ending the war and ending the fighting like the voters wanted. You see, Obama lied to you.

Socialized Obama healthcare is not too far behind if we don’t start paying attention. I don’t want to have to be told what doctor I can go to or have to stand in line for that doctor. I don’t want to have to wait to have an operation if I need one like happens all the time in Canada, England, and some countries in Europe.

Doesn’t anybody pay attention to what is happening all over the world with healthcare? Why do all the people who can afford it come to America to have their operations? IT IS BECAUSE WE HAVE THE BEST DOCTORS and the government will ruin that just like it does everything else. Obama health care reform 2009 needs to be stopped now before it starts. Unfortunately, that won’t happen because too many people are clueless and they want free things like Obama free healthcare even though they don’t understand it won’t be free.
